Heartbeat (2 Viewers)

Hi
I "think" the heartbeat function does not function correctly. I can not get the service to STOP the TimeShift if a heartbeat is not recieved within 30 sek(or longer)
I asked in the irc channel and one more person had seen it there. Hard to give logs cause there is nothing there to show.

example

1/ start mp on a different machine than server
2/ start TS
3/ Kill the process of mediaportal.exe

no more heartbeat is recieved to the server so it should stop the TS, right?
I might be wrong here, so don't get mad. Just trying to help out finding bugs.

the log wont do u any good. Last line is heartbeat recived and then nothing, cause there is nothing!

I "kind" of just wanted to make a heads up cause I saw it. But like I said I could be wrong.not hard for u to test though

It has been confirmed as being broken by some of the team members.
I would still like to see the tv.log and error.log from the server and client (if error log exists on client)

Hi,

Why would you want gibman to forget about it? He told you that other team members have seen the same problem, and it failed for you once, so there might be something there.

Come on! He's trying to help us all here, and is doing a fantastic job! There isn't much the average user can do to help the team, so we should do what little we can.

Hope this doesn't offend. It isn't intended to!

PS. Has anyone else seen the following? Most times when I switch TV on for the second time on a client computer, MediaPortal crashes. I can start MediaPortal, turn on TV and it's fine. Switch TV off, leave the computer running overnight with MediaPortal still running, and then switch the TV module on the next evening, it will crash. I will post a separate bug report, but would be interested to hear if anyone else sees the same thing. I am running Windows XP, latest SVN of MediaPortal and TV Server and DVB TV.

I wanna forget about it cause it seems like I made a mistake.

I know Gibman is trying to help, it was not intended that way u described and I hope Gibman knows that.
