I have also tried Nero Video Decoder, and so far gives better results than others, even though it is still not valid (lot of tearing).

Is the CPU still hitting 100% with the Nero decoder?

Do you have "Use Exclusive DirectX" enabled?

Sounds like you might have to invest in a couple of good hardware encoding cards?

CPU is about 75% with nero decoder, but there is still tearing and frame skipping (les s than with other decoders, that's true, but still not valid to watch TV).

Using exclusive directx does not improve the situation.

I'm going to try with other decoders, but I still don't know why other software plays OK (showshifter, for example, which is much less attractive than MediaPortal, but plays and records TV ok).

    Anyway, thanks for your help.

Should you have any other idea, please write it to me.

    Hi fenicio,

did you apply those patches (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=2288)? I had extreme and reproducable difficulties (choppy video with all codecs, mp almost not responding when timeshifting) with my hardware encoding PVR350 _after_ applying them. I had a harddisk image without these patches installed, so I could switch back to this status and the problems were gone. When I applied those patches again (and did not change anything else!!) all problems returned...

    HTH,
