Everything is working perfectly! The CI-slot is not tested, as I'm using a cardserver (I managed to set it up now).

Have anyone tested the CI slot on this card in MediaPortal?

And I just experienced another crash :( It did work smooth for over a week though. I will try the new v1.01.02.501 driver now.

Installed the driver. All seems to work fine. Channels are still found, decryption works, recording still works. Let's see how it performs over a longer time period.

That sucks! But are you sure it's the driver? Couldn't it be something else as it crashed on both drivers?

I'm still on the beta btw. and no crash yet.

the current driver works for me quite well, the oldest driver for Win 7 worked also perfectly... so I can't complain^^
And yes, I'm using the CI Slot with an Alphacrypt Classic Cam ;)

My server has crashed several times now too with the beta driver. I have just removed the Cinergy card from the server. Let's see if the crashing stops now or that something else is the cause for the problems.

Koen have you updated the BDA Core on your server ?

i mean Server 2008 have no in build BDA Core and must be from user patched /updated

BDA (Tv tuner support) on Server 2008/R2 - MSFN

this is only by Server2008 Server2008/R2 Versions so

WindowsHomeserver and Vail have the BDA Core In Build and dont need this Update

I did indeed apply some BDA patch. Not sure if it was the latest version, but I believe otherwise it wouldn't have worked at all, correct? I'm also running 10 virtual machines through HyperV on the server which all suffered under the frequent crashes. It has happened five times already that one domain controller wouldn't boot anymore after the crash and required a total rebuild of the virtual server and replication from another controller. All those crashes take me hours and hours in total to get everything rebuilt and run smoothly again. I was getting tired of this mess especially since before this the server would run for months in a row without any trouble.

I'm considering experimenting with a second old dedicated Windows 7 32bit machine now for Media Portal (I believe that's the platform with most guarantees for it to work correctly), but on the other hand I don't like it enough to be willing to spend a dedicated 100 watts steady usage * electric costs on just Media Portal. And having it go into sleep mode and resume is another nightmare at itself if I may believe the forum posts on this matter.
