    Hi joshuasdad

You're trying to play 23.96 fps h.264/AVC content. You need to ensure your source and GPU frame rates match your monitor refresh rate and also choose an appropriate codec that will allow you to make use of your GPU's h.264 decoding capabilities - I'd recommend the Microsoft DTV-DVD video decoder if MC playback is smooth. Set that -->here<--. After that, check how hard your CPU is working when you view these videos - you can use alt+enter to switch MP to windowed mode so that you can view task manager side by side with MP.

You'll probably find you don't have Aero enabled. I only read the other day someone with a similar issue and they had Aero disabled.
I could have said it was a codec issue but you mention wm7 runs them fine so it shouldn't be a codec problem.
Ensure Aero is enabled and if you do try codecs, set a Restore Point first (due to the issues you can have trying to get out of codec hell...)

The extender issues may be down to LAN speed. You say HD TV and videos are choppy on the extender, so would I be right in assuming that SD TV is OK? If so, then that points to LAN speed as HD TV is bandwidth heavy. Are using WiFi (WLAN)? That can suffer with interference from cordless phones, microwaves, etc.

    i made the changes.

cpu usage starts at 80 percent at the beginning, then goes from 7-20 percent and fluctuates between.

other issues - when i enter channel 211 in the guide it goes to the 500's, same with i use the remote or keyboard. the channel number is entered correctly, just weird. if i am watching live tv, same thing, the channel is inputted correct but chnages to the wrong channel.

    thanks

Untick "select channel by index (non-US)" as per the details -->here<--.

lan is fine. i stream wm7 to an xbox with no issues on video or hdtv. i only have had issues with sage and media portal. mythtv worked too.

media portal has an option the other mtpc software does not, and i would really like to work out these minor issues.

i have been using the same hardware for all installs:D

As long as it drops down and stays below roughly 20% I *think* it should be okay. I recommend you check the refresh rate stuff that I mentioned - there is a brief explanation -->here<--. It would also help if you could post a screenshot - with video in full screen hit shift+1 (AKA exclamation mark) to show the renderer statistics, then F11 to take a screenshot. The screenshot gets saved to your Windows My Pictures folder by default I think.

    Hi again

I don't think it is your system - I can see a problem in your logs but I'm not an expert in the area so I've PM'd some people who can hopefully help here. It could still be related to the refresh rate as it looks to me like that green line in your screenshot has regular bumps and the Rptd FPS at 47.952 (double the 23.96 fps content frame rate) does not match the display refresh rate which is very close to 60 Hz (60 fps). As I say though, I'm not an expert on this area of the code...

Ok I got videos working, fantastic. Thanks

Next issue. I have searched all over, when editing a atsc channel, or adding where do I find the frequency, service id, and pid?

    Thanks
