You should check your power configuration in device manager, i.e. if you USB controller allows to disconnect/shutdown on idle or suspend.
Maybe this can help to keep your USB on power while suspension.
If the DEVCON way works (your link) you could use MPStandByHandler and do the same thing inside a batch file. At least to get an idea if the device works properly after resume

did some 'fiddling' around in my setup: The USB controllers cannot be configured to stay on power, this is in the windows setup. Keeping the TT powered on is also not a valid option as this thing runs hot when being used / not used so I definitely want it to powerdown when going into hibernation.
The devcon utility is a no go. When it detaches the devices from the USB bus, Windows pops up stating that my hardware has changed and that the PC needs a reboot (and that is what I'm trying to avoid.)
So actually I'm looking for a way to 'soft-reset' the TT / driver after hibernation....
@Morpheus: are there in the log file any leads as to what the TT doesn't do any more after standby?
