Hi,

I just downloaded the MP/TV-Server yesterday and installed it. I can get everything to work except I cannot control my directv box. I previously had an older version of MP running on my system and I had the directvtune plugin and it controlled the directv box flawlessly. It does not make sense to me that the plugin for changing channels should be on the client and not on the server... I wonder if there is another TV-Server plugin or something I should do to get the current plugin working on the server.

Thanks,
-Rui

I think the ServerBlaster plugin can send commands over rs-232. Let me know if it doesn't and I can make a DirecTV plugin I wrote available to everyone.

I see no options in the setup for it, and enabling it doesn't do anything. I know with my box I had to use some of the advanced features of the plugin so maybe that has something to do with it.

I had downloaded a older directvTune plugin and started looking over the source code to try and port it to tv server but if you have one available that would be even better.

Thanks for replying

Ok, here is the source & binary for the plugin I wrote & used to use. It supports multiple tuners/serial ports.

I stopped using it a while back and wrote somthing that speaks tcp/ip to a hardware device with multiple serial ports because I had stability issues with multiple usb rs-232 converters.

I can't get this to work either. I think my box uses a different command set.

I took a quick look at the source, well I opened the project and tried to build it, but it's looking for a variable called _useSerial.

I'll probably play around with it this weekend and see what I can come up with.
