I've been testing tvserver over the past few months, and I get hex in the channel names when scanning echostar 110, 119 with my skaystar2.
posted in one of the svn release threads, and someone mentioned I should up my timeout settings, taking longer to scan, but getting better results.
I tried doing that after my first scan, and it didn't change any of the channel names, so I figured it just didn't overwrite already discovered channels, so I deleted the database, and re-tried, same results. Some channels have the correct channel name, but the majority do not.
