Hi,
After the update to Mediaportal RC1, I can not watch the History Channel HD anymore, my provider is Multikabel in The Netherlands I have a payTV subscription and smartcard to watch this channel.
Strange is that I can watch History channel using the FireDTV viewer, the software Digital Everywhere provides with their tuner cards, however I have huge lip sync problems using this software.
FireDTV uses a MPEG1 Audio Decoder
VMR9 video renderer
Cyberlink H264 video decoder
Default Audio renderer
Because I can watch using firedtv viewer and not Mediaportal, I asume it is a mediaportal problem.
I have set Mediaportal RC1 exactly the same as the last 0.2.3.0 version I used and working with History Channel HD. (I made screenshots of every setup screen)
I tried VMR9 in stead of EVR in mediaportal, no help
I tried H264 hardware acceleration, No Help
I tried H264 without Hardware accelleration, No help
Changed Audio renderer back to default, no help
The message Mediaportal shows, is eather that it cant start timeshift because the channel is scrambled or it cant start timeshift because 'No Video/audio detected'
Note that all other HD channels under the same payTV subscription work fine (discovery-HD, HD-NL, NGC-HD)
Any ideas?
Thanks
EDIT 30-04-2008:
I have checked the logs I added a few minutes ago myself thoroughly, and found out that there was a conflict in channels that are for other providers. You see, there was a merger between three digital cable TV providers a few weeks ago, and now my transponder also picked up several channels that belong to another provider.
So there was a History channel on frequency 826Mhz and a History Channel on 234Mhz, Mediaportal TV server picked the first one which does not belong to my cable provider so my smartcard/CAM could not descramble this channel, because I am not entitled to see this.
The solution was to delete the frequency 234Mhz from the transponder list, delete the SQL TV database and do a channel rescan. Now only One History channels is found and I can watch it again.
There were a few more channels in that frequency, but did not watch anyways, so for me this was a good solution.
