I only have bass or internal dshow player in my list of players for music. How do I use media player for music if it is not in the list?

IC, but now we have to use the internal player I have no visualisations and I cant play my drm encrypted tracks I download from wippit.

So any ideas on how I sort those issues? out of interest why was WMP dropped?

use the BASS engine if you want viz - but only if you using the latest SVN builds. viz is not available in 0.2.1.0 feature release

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?
