How do I get Winamp Milkdrop viz working? (1 Viewer)

I'm running MediaPortal 1.0, no SVN. I use the Xface skin.
I copied the Milkdrop files from Winamp v5.091 to the MP directory & it works, but sometimes I'll just get a black screen & it always crashes MP after a few songs. The music will keep playing, but MP will lock up & I have to cntrl-alt-del to end MP.
Is there a file I need to replace, or is it possible that too fast a framerate will cause this? If files need to be replaced, are there any links as to where to find them?

Lower some of the default settings, I'm on latest svn and now have lost my viz's, cannot select under music config

yes this build not work with Winamp Plugins.. found no entry.
more work than thought.

Worked fine until this last svn 21864, where it cannot be selected.

Even downloaded winamp to get latest, and no change, so would most probably recommend you stick with whats known to work as a starter.

was with me, also had a Sonique-vis and vis.ini copied into the folder, then were also the winamp-vis to see.
