i have 433 movies and 20 tv shows. i have changed the MSQCE to MySQLdatabaes or SQlite Databae. i am wondering which database is best for me. i dont know how long it takes. how long does it take me to import all of them?
Well, it's hard to tell how long it takes. For me, it takes a maximum of 2-3 seconds per movie, so taking about 500 movies, this means 1500 seconds, I.e. about half an hour for the movies alone.
I'm not sure whether it really makes a big difference for you using a different database. What really takes quite some time here is that MP2 downloads a lot of information, covers, etc. from the Internet for every movie but there is not really a way to accelerate this.
Could you maybe upload your MP2 server log files and ill have a look whether I can find anything that goes wrong for you.
Thanks, Michael
Yep that's the log with the database error from the other thread. Lets first solve that error. I need some logs where the server runs fine and does some imports to tell you anything about import speed...
there is another question, on the MP2 server application, there is 4 mp2 client. how do i delete them? i will uninsall them again and installed it again and send u the log for the server. i will give u the log later.
i just send u the server.log .
i cannot get the importer to run.
i follow the wiki and it is still not working at all.
Hi all
Was just looking at Ad Removal - Comskip and note:
- MP1 only
- 4 The Record 1.3.3 seems to no longer exist
Question: Does anybody have pointers as to how I/we can setup or install something to automatically remove ads during playback on MP2?
Thanks in advance
Henry

If you use a VPN connection to your home network, you should be able to use the MP client to connect to your server natively instead of using MPExtended.
