I can't figure it out, it just skips all the files. I have tried installing Pure Audio, but that didn't help much either. Is there some special configuration I need to do to set it up?

Hi
You need to set dts as a music extension.
run MediaPortal configuration .
Set expert mode, top right corner.
Choose music.
Choose music extensions.
Add dts in the input field,
Press add.
Press Ok to close MediaPortal configuration.

I was about to say you need to install ACFile and WMPlayer but that does not work with MP 1.2.

You can install AC3File anyway and change player from BASS player to Directshow and it would work.

I will look at getting WMPlayer updated

Ah, thank you! It works like a charm now. :) I'm only going to be using it for multichannel audio you see.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?
