How do you playback recorded radio (2 Viewers)

I have wanted to be able to record radio for some time but I thought it just wasn't possible. Imagine my delight, then, when I attempted to record a radio program and it worked! The program appears in the list of TV recordings and there is a sizeable file that appears in the recorded TV folder.

So, now I have recorded it I now would like to listen to it. If you try to play it from within Recorded TV MP appears to think about it and then nothing happens.

Anyone know how to play back recorded radio?

This has been discussed before, this fails because tsreader is expecting video as well as audio, does not find both and just stops without any playback.

Would like to see this fixed after MP1.0 released.

Is there any way this can be put into Mantis? Otherwise it may well be forgotten until someone else posts a bug report.

Do the developers have a "secret" list of bugs which need to be fixed at some point? This is not a facetious question, but of course making this information public would stop us reporting "known" problems.

This is not a bug, it's by design, so this would become a feature request

The DVB radio section of MP could do with a bit of a overhaul, but its low on the list of priorities.

Notwithstanding the smiley, I'm not sure I'd agree with your assessment that this is a feature request. If you can record radio, but not play it back, then this is not what any reasonable user would expect. Therefore, most people would consider this to be a bug.

The tsreader design might be the cause of the problem, but why not get it into Mantis with no specified timeframe/version just so that it is "in the system"? This would also apply to many other bugs which I see reported every couple of months but which don't get officially logged or commented on.

Not moaning, partly because I don't use the radio very often. Just offering a user's perspective. Despite a few quirks, MP beats the competition hands down, and I am sure that the team are stressed out trying to get RC4 out, and then fix the remaining bugs for 1.0. Personally, I'd like to see 1.0 out the door, and then a serious bug hunt to locate all remaining issues and consider ways of fixing them. I only wish I could do some of the fixing myself rather than just reporting. I'm more than happy to help verify bugs and try to keep track of them, if this would help.
