Hi all!

I do not have EPG data for all the channels I get (simply, because some do not have such data available). But all the channels declared in TV Server are listed in the tv guide. How can I fix that? How can I have listed in tv guide only the channels with epg data? Even if the file "tvguide.xml" does not contain data for a certain channel, Media Portal still displays that channel in tv guide, with empty fields for all the shows.

how can I select which channels are visible in tv guide?

The tick-box which I believe is supposed to do that (in TV Server / Channels) does not change the status when clicked. It is checked all the time. I have to un-check the box in front of the channel name, but then I cannot access the channel at all. I can also go into the "edit" mode for each channel and work with the same "visible in tv guide" checkbox, but it is (somehow) automatically re-checked when I exit TV server.

Also, how can I have the tv guide listing a certain channel (with complete data updated in "tvguide.xml") without having to go through a "dummy" channel during skipping through the channels? I get some "test frequency" channels, and I used one of them in order to make the epg data to appear in tv guide when in fact I do not get that channel on my htpc. I use this for the "reminder" (alarm) function, to remind me about shows on that channel.

I suggest you make a Group, and add the channels you want to this Group. Then in MP bring up the menu, and change the group to the one you created.

I have done this - as of the 200 channels I pick up, I only want to see 20 - 30
