How to add Music/TV recently added to Home screen (1 Viewer)

THanks for all the updates, looking great! I am trying to get the recently added tv recordings and albums working but I cannot work it out. I have ticked the 2 boxes in streamedmp config and i have checked they are ticked in fanart handler, but then nothing appears in the menus, they work for tvseries and moving pictures.

Do I need to do something manually? I am using FTR, will this matter?

Hi,

You will also need to attach the overlay to a menu (should be automatic but a bug). Select a menu item and add the overlay to it. https://code.google.com/p/streamedmp/wiki/BasicHomeEditor#Add_Most_Recent_Overlay_to_Menu_Item

The bug is fixed and will be part of the next patch.

Thanks for the quick response! That works perfect, awesome feature!

Just to note that I cannot seem to get recently watched working for tv series, it only shows recently added, moving pictures works fine, and i have the right boxes ticked ... any ideas?

Hi,

Glad that part worked, for this issue would really need to see your usermenuprofile.xml and the StreamedMPConfig.log files, can you post these please.

Just had a look and it appears this is the issue:

"13/10/2010 14:18:56 [Info] Found no results for TVseries Recently Watched"

I had presumed it would pick it up from past stuff like movingpictures, maybe i need to watch something after turning this on

EDIT: Yup, ok it works now! For TV Series I had to actually watch a file, movingpictures seems to already "remember" it, thanks for the help!

Was about to say that, when was the last time you watched a series? It only looks back 30 days by default - we plan to make that user defineable in the future.

Also TVSeries only started recording the watched date in the database from v2.6.3 I think.
