if I don't assign a series due to a no matches, then later find the match what is the proper way to un-ignore a series? IF i just delete it from the database it doesn't seem to ask me for it again on the next scan. Before the import wizard change this use to work.

There is currently a bug where skipped series do not re-appear in importwizard, deleting the series should of fixed the problem for you (atleast it does for me). Another way to work around this is to just run a GUI import which will try skipped series.
Will investigate and may get this fixed in v2.6.2.
