Oh no....

:(
--------------
On 24th of November, 2005, Macrovision Europe contacted AfterDawn.com, notifying us that they have acquired full rights to the DVD Decrypter software and have changed its licensing terms. Effective immediately, they have decided to withdraw all distribution rights from all third party companies, including AfterDawn.com. Thus, distributing DVD Decrypter is now as illegal as it would be to distribute cracked copies of Windows operating system or pirated copies of games.

---------------

Is there an alternative that works with your solution other than dvddecryptor?

Thanks for the information, i haven't read this, yet.

Lightning UK (creator of DVDDecrypter) wrote a nice App called ImgBurn that can burn ISO-Files like DVDDecrypter did and it's still legal available.
You just need to download ImgBurn and adjust the path in MpgII2DVD.ini

I've updated the How-To, so take a look and please post if it works.

guys - I'm having trouble finding a copy of MpgII2DVD on the net. Do you think you could either email it to me, or host it temporarily?

I ask because I'm really keen to get this to work, as I'd like to be able to burn off some of my recorded tv for my father in law to watch - this sounds like just the ticket!

    Thanks in advance.

You're a champion - thanks heaps. I'm looking forward to getting this working, and getting some of my V8 Supercars coverage off & onto DVD - giddy up!

    Partial burned recording

Thanks Ralph for your awesome plugin and tutorial!

I've encountered some problems though; it's the same problem as mentioned before in this thread, only the first 5 min. of a 1 hour long converted dvr-ms-file is actually burned. Is there a solution to this problem?

I get the impression as well that the "cut" takes place right after the commercial. Has it something to do with the drm-technology embedded in the dvr-ms-file?

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi ZooMan,

it's good to hear you like it, too.

I don't know why only a part of your file will be burned, right now.
For me it can not be due the drm-technology, 'cause you need to convert your file to mpeg before burning it.
What program did you use for converting your dvr-ms file to mpeg? Did you use MediaPortal for that or the burner plugin?
And can you host your dvr-ms file somewhere and pm me the link, so I can test it on my machine?

    Regards

    Thanks for this tips !
All work good for me, but there is a problem: the DVD is burned, but when i want to see it, i don't have image, only the sound ! I have tested on my HTPC, and on my DVD player, same result: the DVD is read without problem, but no image, only a black screen with the sound.

Have you an idea ? Because it would be so great to burn DVD with the remote !

    That's strange!

Can you play the original file in MP properly?
What program did you use to convert your file to mpeg2?
Please try another file and post the result.

    Regards
    Ralph
