How to change channels from encrypted to unencrypted (1 Viewer)

Hello,

my cable provider (unitymedia) just changed some channels from encrypted to unencrypted Mediaportal TV scanner is still showing them as encrypted and I cannot watch them. Is there a config file where I can change some kind of "flag" for those channels so that MP considers them as unencrypted?

Hi.

You can start SetupTv and go to channels. Find the channel in question, Right-click->edit->activate Free to air checkbox. Thats it.

Just by curiosity - where is the initial setting if a channel is encrypted or unencrypted stored? Or where is this information taken from?
