I would like to make the subtitle text smaller, and if I could I would like to place it lower on the screen.

Well thank you for considering it. I guess there is some demand for better control over subtitle size and position, but luckily for the majority we hearing impaired are in the minority.

So changing this value doesn't do anything ? (it's surely for teletext not the subtitle teletext).
It seems there no options for changing font right now.

It should be effective if you access the subtitles by activating teletext then selecting the subtitle page number. However, the page may not update fast enough for use with subtitles.

No it doesn't matter which subtitle page. eng (1/3), eng 2/3, p954 3/3
I have both cc subtitles and teletext subtitles checked in Mediaportal Config.
If I uncheck teletext subtitles I lose subtitles altogether for TV.

To be very clear, I mean that you should not access the subtitles via this context menu:
    Actions Menu

Instead, try to access the subtitles through the teletext (videotext) button like this:
    Teletext

...then enter the subtitle page number (seems to be 954).
