How to disable all backgrounds? (1 Viewer)

I've been a StreamedMP user for ages and love it - don't even think about another skin.

Recently I upgraded to the latest version following a larger overall problem with Media Portal - I ended up doing a total re-install.

When I first started up MediaPortal there was no background art at all, like it was transparent. I absolutely loved it.

I've since restarted Media Portal after installing a few other plugins and now the background art is back.

How do I disable it again? It's so much better IMO than having the artwork in the background.

Hi,

the easiest way i think is to go to the folder (default installation):
C:\Users\All Users\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\StreamedMP\Media\Animations

In This folder are several folder in that are stored the backgroud images. Now make a jpg-file fully black with resolution 1280x720 and name it as you wish, f.e. black.jpg. Copy this file to every folder a standart background is stored.

Now open the BasicHome Editor and change all backgrounds to you new black background.

Greets,
Dachkennel

Strattos, you can also black out all hover_*.pngs in your Media folder if you want to blackout the plugin screens as well.
