Hi guys!
Since my network setup started to stabilize I was "playing" around with optimizing picture quality in MyTV on the last weekend and have to admit that I am sort of "stuck" at the moment.
There are basically two sets of questions that arose during the weekend:
1.) When using "only" a decoder (say PureVideo or MPV) I do get around 50 FPS (as shown by Shift-1). The picture quality is OK as long as there is no quick movements within the picture. However, as soon as there is ANY faster movement I do get A LOT of block artifacts and something that looks like tearing to me.
It looks to me as if the CPU would not be fast enough to decode and scale the content properly (which I don’t think is true because the CPU load is around 10-15%)
Anybody any idea what's happening here?
2.) As soon as I add ffdshow as a postprocessor to the graph the frame rate (as shown by Shift-1) drops to 25 FPS... WHY? (CPU at around 40-50%)
I would love to optimize my picture quality... so any help/hints on the above two topics is highly appreciated!
