I live in a building made up of 14 flats. We have a Sky dish installed somewhere as the previous owners had Sky. I'm trying to scan for Freesat (Astra 28.2E) channels but failing. My Signal Level is 100% but Signal Quality is always 0% and I keep getting red "no signal" errors.

I imagine this is something to do with the LNB setup settings, I have no idea what to enter and whether it makes a difference... Anyone able to assist please?

Assuming you've got a direct connection to the LNB, the LNB works, and the dish is pointing at Astra 28.2E (probably is if it was used for Sky), you should set it up as in the attached picture, then do a scan. Might be worth clicking the "update satellite list" (or whatever it's called) button on the scan page first to update the transponder lists, just in case yours are out of date or wrong for some reason.

    Hope that helps a bit.

If you are connected to the LNB through some sort of sharing/diseqc thing rather than a direct cable then I've got no experience of that I'm afraid.

After uninstalling the card's drivers, removing the card, reinserting it into the same PCI slot, reinstalling the drivers, WinTV & ProgDVB found all the channels. But MediaPortal was still showing 'no signal'. A re-installation of that has also fixed everything . The settings were the default ones. i.e. 'No Diseqc' and Universal LNB.
