Nope, this is currently only implemented for Webradio stations.
I started to implement it for Webtv (that's why you can add channels with URLs in SetupTV) but haven't finished yet.
Since we currently have a feature freeze for TvServer it might take some time.
Sorry

Hi Gemx,
Isn't it a bit weird to introduce an unfinished feature during feature freeze? I'd suggest to leave it out or implement it correctly.
Or do you really want to include this feature while it isn't working in the comming official MP1 release?? Is it that much harder to finish this up for video also? (I have no idea)
Don't be mistaken, I think you and the rest of the dev team are great, but this feature is like holding a bone in front of a dog and not giving it to him... ;)

Hi Gemx

Any news on webvideo / webtv?
How are things progressing?
Any news on when you think MP can have a testable version?

...We're just so eager to have this feature in MP! :D

Hi Gemx,
I can only add my voice to the webTV functionality. I know you are all very busy with the current project, but it would be nice if you can give us some idea on the plan.
BTW, once it is implemented, will it have "Record" function as well? This is what I am missing using RelicTV and MyPlayer plugins.

So it is not yet implemented? That is why it MP give this strange error for webstreams that it cannot be played because there is no available tv-card?

None of the devs even want to say something about it, gemx doesn't respond anymore even though it's his project, so I guess this unfinished and half implemented feature is something for all of us to dream of.
But since it has been in this unfinished state for over a year now, I think the devs have given this feature up... In this case, when the devs say nothing anymore, that can only mean it's still not worked on :(
I guess you'll have to wait (I hope not until hell freezes over... :s )

it should be possible, to run a batch, that loads the channel with vlc and stream it in realtime as an MPEG Stream to TV Server.

Only embedded live Flash Streams can't be load, I think...

Try it with an MPEG2 Webstream (or stream with a D-Box or VLC) and it should work...

If you can tell me how to do a batch you mention, I'm more than happy to test it, but I've no idea what you're talking about. Are you saying that if I can make it show in VLC, there is a way to show it in MP? I know how to play webstreams in MP, by setting webstreams in playlists and entering the playlists in the My Video's section. I don't know of any MPEG2 webstreams and the things I want to watch don't have MPEG2 streams, so that's not an option.

The thing is, we're talking about the implementatin of webstreams in the tv section and about the unfinished feature for this there.

It sucks hard to implement the configuration option for webstreams, and then not implement the code behind :( Remove the unfinish business untill this is fixed, please!
