    I have an Hauppauge WinTV 150. I use it to connect to the cable set top box.
    Since I upgraded the PC, Windows, and MP, the TV video is bad. It hangs and makes scratch sounds.
    This is the case also when previewing on the TV server setup.

    Before blaming TV server, I would like to use some stand alone application to see how does the TV video comes out. Can you suggeust such application?

    Thanks.

    Thanks mm. I do not remember about the RAM of that computer but I will check (it is my parent's, not here). Can you please explain what is the limitation?

    I do not have Hauppauge's WinTV software. I think it is because my card is the MCE edition. Though I vaguely remember I had it.

    I checked. I have 4GB. With virtual memory it is higher. I wonder if disabling the swap file will solve it. I will try it later.

    I don't think disabling the swap file will help. Available RAM has to be strictly less than 4GB, so you have to disable at least 1 MB of memory.

    :):):)

    Disabling swap file did not help indeed.
    But limiting system memory to 4095GB did the trick!
    Of course limiting memory has its drawbacks, but I think on my system there will be no practical drawbacks. So I am happy.

    Limiting system memory is easy. On "msconfig":
    "Boot" => "Advanced options..." => "Maximum Memory" => "4095"

    Yes. Indeed. It works. Thank you so much. I dont know why, but it solves my problems with a new setup of Win7/64bit/SSD/FloppyDTV-S2

    regards,
    Andreas
