    All,

    I have looked through the forum to try and find an answer, but haven't been succesful...hence my question.

    I would like to use the value of the COMMENT field in the recording.xml as part of the recording.ts file, but adding %comment% in the file name format does not work...it just adds %comment% to the file name and not the value.

    - <SimpleTag>
    <name>COMMENT</name>
    <value>Etapp 15: La Robla-Lagos de Covadonga. Vuelta a España. 02/09/2012.</value>
    </SimpleTag>

    With the above xml entre my file name should look something like,
    Etapp 15: La Robla-Lagos de Covadonga. Vuelta a España. 02/09/2012.ts

    Thanks,
    Jens

    Anyone with some ideas as to why this doesn't work, or maybe it is as simple that it shouldn't work... ;-)

    Cheers,
    Jens

    Hello Jens

    You can't just use any old tag (like %comment%). Only the tags listed in the "Recordings"->"Custom paths and filenames" section are supported.

    The COMMENT field in the XML file contains the program description. We don't allow that to be used in the file name as it is usually too long for a file name => would cause failed recordings.

    Sorry - it won't work.
