Hi. What do you mean? You have installed Pinnacle Media Center (XP version) on Vista? My PCTV310i has Pinnacle Media Center for XP (I don't know if newer versions of this TV tuner has included Vista version).
I can tell you what I did: after installed Pinnacle MC I made a backup of REMOTE folder situated in ...Programs/Pinnacle/..Shared etc.. In this folder you must find a .exe file, profiles.ini (if I remember right) and other files...
Then I removed Pinnacle MC and I installed MediaPOrtal. After than that I just run remote.exe from the backup folder (before you have to edit profiles whit keys for MP).
Now in your case I don't know if in a newer version PInnacle removed profiles.ini (they work just like drunk people ).
Try to re-install Pinnacle MC and check the REMOTE folder.
I have been trying to get this remote working on a system and have just noticed according to the Pinnacle Remote Manual to press the spacebar you don't put Space, as porros config file has, I think you need to change this to BLANK this is the command to enter a spacebar according to the manual.
Hope this helps
I am having trouble with the Home/Basic Home screens the remote seems to cause MP to swap between them at random instead of doing the required function anyone else having this problem with the pinnacle remote and MP ver 0.2.2.0 ??
Thanks for all your help porro and simon. I still cant make my pinnacle card 310i to work with MP (i search the forum but i couldnt make anything work). If anyone willing to help me plz pm or mail me. It doesnt even appear to select the card from the config menu.

The Problem
When selecting MY Videos,My TV etc instead of loading it, it sometimes switches from MP Home menu to Basic Home menu and back. I have used Porros profile.ini as found here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/us...highlight=310i
Which most people seem to have working ok, is anyone else getting this type of behavior ?? Have I missed something.
Anyway I only have one remote I use with this card which is remote type B. I have other remotes for TV etc. but they are not in use when the problem occurs.
<quote>Make sure to select recieve only for the one remote</quote>
Do I set this in the remote icon running in the task bar ??
