Possible new feature you could add:

according to default mp language (or even using internet to localize) ==> AUTOselect some grabbers and organize them.

maybe do an autoupdate of grabbers first.

the idea is to make mp inteligent and help you with the configuration. maybe make it do this auto setup process only first time accesing configuration. rest of the times, do not do it.

hope i am clear on my idea.

It will not be so difficult to accomplish (at least for movie grabbers because they have country ID) except small problem if more grabbers exists for one country and which one to choose or if all, in what order.
And another question is what to use for locale match, Windows locale settings or MP or some other solution.

yeah its something to think about.
at the end i think mp setting, as during installation, the windows settings will be chosen and if the user changes it would mean a higher priority over windows language.

as for multiple grabbers, i guess just add all of the ones in the select language, in any order. then user can adjust it.

the idea is to have "something" that works. then the user can optimize it.

right now, only an english grabbers is selected. to if you dont need english its useless until it is setup.

Just tested the last version for 1.1.0 and i`m really impressed. This enhancement is really great! big Hope it finds it way into SVN soon

Thx, parallel with this I'am playing with Grabber script for importing *.nfo files for movie details processed with other programs so they can be used as any other grabber without need to made any changes in MP code.

It works almost flawlessly except sometimes, somewhere in parallel open thread something stops (not an exception but just stops) and grabber just sits there and wait something 'till I press "Cancel" or "Cancel all". I have few suspects for that but it's hard to trace as jumping to debug new process just crash Visual Studio.

Hi Deda, just tested your last version. In changelog you said you made a fix for the progressbar under Win//Vista. Here (Win7 64Bit) NO progessbar is shown at all in MP GUI (or did you refer to Config screen?)

Config screen only. GUI progress is graphic (I hope I'm not wrong ) so no change on that. I can manipulate easy with description text and progress values (percentage) in GUI within My Videos but not with rendering.

Ok, I found source of the problem and it's global MP problem which afflicts not only myvideo.

Also, problem is in fanart (skin passes #title property so problem is in dbview, and more or less how you name movie file, in share view) and music section (artist and albums) in thumb creation because thumb files are named as titles (ie. movie name, artist name, album name) and they are overwritten in case of the same title.

I changed naming method for videos (from the database only) by adding dbID to the filename so every thumb name is unique and can't be overwritten in case of the same title but different video.

Hi,

Is it possible to make a small change.....When manually adding a new title in the video database, is it possible to auto fill in the title with the filename? Saves some typing. Also, have the file filter set to all media file extensions specified in extensions tab, rather than just avis? I add mp4 files now and have to change from avis to mp4 each time I manually add a new movie to the database.

You need both of the zipped files from first post, you then need to overwrite existing files, mainly in the mediaportal install folder and user files folders, you need to stop mptray (systray) then overwrite files and restart mptray if of course you even use that to start MP.

now when you start MP config you will see new options for video.
