Hi,
I am Running MP V. 1.2.3.4 and MP and the Configuration Program are telling me that the MesagePlugin is incompatible with this MP Version. So I have the following questions:
1) How do I get this Plugin Running on the current MP version?
2) How can I uninstall this Auvision driver I have installed via Eventghost? Unfortunately it is not listed under "installed programs" and I want to use the Hama MCE as before this experiment.

Thanks in advance!
Thomas

    1. have you tried to install it from the extension installer?
    2. Haven't done that before as the driver was a huge relief to me. Any other try with hid and so on was a pain in... If you wanna uninstall it please have a second look in installed programs, as you can see in the screenshot I have it listed there. Other possibility would be to save your xml in a save place an uninstall and install eventghost.

    Hi Luca,
Thank you for your detailled and quick answer!
    1) I tried to install the MessagePlugin via the Extension Installer. The problem is that this installer shows an error locating the Message Plugin in the associated server. ("Can't locate the installer package")
I can not select the file provided in this thread to install it via the extension installer and the manual installation according to the installation instructions lead to the incompatiblity problem...
    2) You are absolutely right, the driver is listed in the installed programs and can most probably be uninstalled. But I am not giving up - not now :)
I also tried a workaround using the EventGhost driver but then simulating keyboard inputs instead of the message plugin. But this does not work too good because many MP modules do have different keyboard shortcuts... unfortunately...

    Best regards, Thomas

Thanks a lot! It finally worked!

Maybe dedi could update the first post at this thread to remove this pitfall I ran into...

For new Users: Changes in installation steps:
    1. Install the latest Version of EventGhost [Experimental version is no more necessary]
    2. Start Eventghost
    3. Create a new config (Ctrl-N)
    4. Add Plugin: auvisio VRC-1100 Ro
Say OK to download the drivers. A Installation Dialog will appear. Follow it. (This will take much time - but it works)
    5. - 8. same as on page 1
    9. Download the MessagePlugin from here (and not the RAR file from this thread): https://www.team-mediaportal.com/extensions/input-output/message-plugin-for-mp1-2?lang=en
    10. Install it by doulbe-clicking on it. Follow the instructions.
    11. Start MediaPortal (Plugin should be enabled automatically)

Hi, I used eventghost and the Hama remote for years and it worked fine under Windows7. I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and the driver does not work any longer. Have someone here a solution for Windows 8 and the driver.

    Regards,

    S

You will have to start up win 8 with the driver signature check disabled as described here.
Start up eventghost and enable the auvisio plugin. It should ask for the driver installation and it will go through this time...

    Hi,

I got a wierd problem: setup as described in the first post works fine initially, but after a
reboot only a few buttons are recognized in EventGhost (e. g. play, skip, info, volume),
but not the cursor and ok buttons.

Now, if I select "Plugin: auvisio ...", disable it, re-enable it, all buttons work nicely again.

I run EG 0.4.1.r1610 w/ init.pys from the first post.

Any idea what's going on there?
