Just a stilly thing you are using the right driver for your os 64 or 32?. i've tested it on 3 pc's and it works on them all
.

can you take a screen shot of your control panel device manager screen so i can see if they are in the same place as mine

Just added a screen of what mines shows why dont you compare with yours.

have you tried starting eventghost and starting with a blank setup just to see? or maybe try the 32bit drivers you never know.

Yes, the remote works great with EventGhost 0.4.1.r1568.

There are some small problems but it is possible to work around them. For example, play and pause on the remote send the same code. I solved this by disabling the "Pause event" in EventGhost, and by configuring the "Play event" in the message plugin such that it causes a "Pause action" while media is playing, and a "Play action" otherwise.

The automatic download of the special driver for the remote is working, however, I would strongly prefer a manual download to check the reliability of the source and to keep the driver package on its own. And a disadvantage of the special driver is that the remote does not work any longer as a general input device. One has to define event mappings in EventGhost, otherwise the remote does nothing on the Windows desktop. Actually, if anybody could enlighten me about the source and the author of the special driver I would be very happy.
