How the topic says, my system is hanging up sporadically. Sometimes the screen is freezing and the htpc is rebooting and sometimes the screen is only freezing and I have to shutdown the pc by pressing the power button a few seconds. Sometimes the freezing picture has pixel failures too. This behaviour can happen always, it doesn't matter if I'm using MediaPortal or the desktop and it doesn't matter if the system is hot or cold. I testet the ram several hours with Memtest86+ and the result was no failure. The test with ssdlife resultet that the SSD is ok. I wanted to test my gpu with furmark but I really don't know what to do. I did also a fresh install of Windows with updates and updated the drivers and bios. Almost two years the htpc worked well and I didn't change any hardware. My htpc has a passive cooling and I bought also a new laptop power supply. In the event viewer I have seen some red marked entrys and some yellow but I couldn't find a solution for my problem. The event viewer logs are attached. A dump file doesn't exist. I hope someone can help me, the whole family is getting crazy because of the problem.

My system specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

This clearly suggests a hardware problem.

I can see various situations where the PC randomly restarts or you "hard-reset" the PC. For example, in one case you do it after attempting to enter the TV section:

    [2015-09-13 12:05:32,760] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - TVHome.ViewChannelAndCheck(): View channel=RTL HD

    Note the long delay here:
    [2015-09-13 12:04:03,746] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - TvNotify: 0 notifies
    [2015-09-13 12:05:32,323] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - TVHome:OnPageLoad

The only possible reason for the delay that I can see is in the system event log:
"13.09.2015 12:04:11";"Service Control Manager";"(0)";"Information";"Dienst "Superfetch" befindet sich jetzt im Status "Beendet".";"1073748860"
"13.09.2015 12:04:11";"Service Control Manager";"(0)";"Error";"Der Dienst "Superfetch" wurde mit folgendem Fehler beendet: %%2";"3221232495"

I don't know if that is relevant. Anyhow, MediaPortal definitely wasn't frozen or in error. The TV Server log files show that the TV Server was in the middle of tuning:

From what I can see, I don't think this is a MediaPortal problem. I suggest you test the stability of your CPU. I'm not able to help further than this.

Yes you are right during tv-server the pc hang up one time.

I think that the ssd has a failure but SSDLife shows me that it is ok. I have now recognized that when I edit a file and save it, that sometimes that file loses the edited text and turns back to the old status.
How can I test the other components?

Have you thoroughly checked for loose cables/connectors ?

Have you got an old disk you could substitute for the SSD temporarily - if that fixes the issue then the SSD is definitely faulty.

If it's not the SSD (and you have already replaced the power supply) then it suggests a faulty motherboard.

All cables are fixed but I changed now the sata cable from ssd. Will take a look if that changes something.

Unfortunately no. If I had one, I would have already tested it.
