Hi there,

I'm trying to configure MP with TVCabo, but still no success. Can someone help me please?

TV Server detects TVCard and scans with sucess all TV channels, but when I go to TV server management control , on TV Channels option, the preview simply don´t work. I get the error "Preview failed: No VideoAudiodetected".

I do have additional issues with EPG grabber (Portugal TVCabo), for instance, where can I put the URL for ZON TvCabo TVGuide anda witch EPGgrabber should I use.

On MP (TV option), I get the error ""Unable to start timeshifting. No video/audio detected" on all channels...

Regards,
:confused:

Logs

Hello again,

Here are the logs of MP and TV Server. All the help you can provide is welcome. :)
I don´t know why, but I can´t see live TV on MP.
With PowerCinema 5 works fine, so I believe that isn´t HW.

This TV Card is not detected directly on MP, but TV Server detects and scans all the channels whithout problems. The problem occurs after this. The channel preview on TV Server gives error and I never saw live TV on MP...:(

Many thanks,

Luis Sousa

hi morpheus,

seems a problem with the SQL Database respectively TVlibrary. I'd advise to check, whether SQL could connect to your client.

"Check the connection string: Password=MediaPortal;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=sa;Initial Catalog=TvLibrary;Data Source=homepc\SQLEXPRESS;Connection Timeout=300; ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Cannot open database "TvLibrary" requested by the login. The login failed."

hi ichessblumen,

Based on your suggestion, I did the following steps:

1: Uninstall of SQL Server
2: Restart windows
3: Disable all the firewalls (XP and COMODO)
4: Install SQLServer
5: Install and configurate dbvisualizer to check database activity
6: On TV Server Configuration, scan channels

Aparently, TVServer doesn't have a problem on connect to database because the Channel Table was filled with all channels detected during the channel scan. However, on Tunningdetail table, the field frequency is filled with "0" for all channels. Is this correct?

After a channel scan, I tried to preview a channel and got the same error:"Preview failed:NoVideoAudiodetected"

On TVServer logs (tv.log) there are the following (I believe suspicius) events:

card: waitFortimeshiftFile
card:waitForunScrambleSignal
card: return not scramble
card: waitFortimeshiftFile - waiting _eventAudio & _eventvideo
card: waitFortimeshiftFile - new observer based method didn't work, using the old one as fall back!
card: timeshifting filesize:0 TIMEDOUT
card: remove user: homepc sub:0
user :homepc remove
card: free subchannel sub:0
tvcard:FreeSubChannel:1 #0
analog subch:0 Decompose()
analog: StopTimeShifting()
analog: StopGraph state:Running
analog: Graph stopped
analog: stoptGraph state:confused:topped

Please, help me...:confused:

are all channels mapped to your card in tv server config?

hmm, and this one confuses me:
"card: waitFortimeshiftFile - new observer based method didn't work, using the old one as fall back!"

is the driver for your card a BDA driver? If not, use BDA.

so, I haven't got a clue how to proceed further. maybe one of the developers knows.

Hello,
Here are the answers to your questions:

are all channels mapped to your card in tv server config?

Yes

is the driver for your card a BDA driver? If not, use BDA.

The driver id on TV Server config is "713x BDA Analog TV Tuner"

Meanwhile I´ve updated XP to SP3., but the problem remains :((.

Any ideias?

Shoud I try this?
PlanetAMD64 > Asus 7135 in x64 mediaportal timeshift

I found on this forum, this thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/installation-configuration-support-53/asus-my-cinema-p7131-36152/

Both talk about changing capturecarddefinitions.xml, but my version doesn´t have this file....Where is this now?

The capturecarddefinitions.xml is in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal".
You also could try to use MySQL instead of Microsoft SQL Server.

hi,

I did the following steps:
1) Remove TV Server
2) On the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file insert the following sentence:
<capturecard commercialname="ASUS MyCinema 7131 Analog" capturename="713x BDA Analog Capture" devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_48621043&rev_d0">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="false"></capabilities>
<tv>
<interface cat="mux" video="" audio="" mpeg2="0"></interface>
<filters>
<filter cat="crossbar" name="713x BDA Analog Xbar" checkdevice="true"></filter>
<filter cat="capture" name="713x BDA Analog Capture" checkdevice="true"></filter>
<filter cat="encodervideo" name="CyberLink MPEG Video Encoder" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="encoderaudio" name="Cyberlink Audio Encoder" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="mux" name="CyberLink MPEG Muxer" checkdevice="false"></filter>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="crossbar" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="crossbar" sourcepin="1" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="1"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="capture" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="encodervideo" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="capture" sourcepin="3" sinkfilter="encoderaudio" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="encodervideo" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="mux" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="encoderaudio" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="mux" sinkpin="1"></connection>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

3) Change deviceid field to match deviceid set on device manager ->
devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_48451043&rev_d1">
4) Start MediaPortal Configuration
5) On Television-> CaptureCards, add a card

The good news is that my card is detected. The bad news is that the autotune scan crashes :(

I have already install this patch identified on https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-support-51/patch-multi-dvb-tuner-issue-channel-scan-crash-windows-xp-6344/".
But, when I go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information > Tools > DirectX Diagnostic Tool and select the DirectX Files tab. The 2 files (psisdecd.dll & mpeg2data.ax) maintain the original version 6.05.2600.5512 instead of 6.5.2710.2732.

What should I do?

:D
