Huge Fragmentation on TV-recordings (1 Viewer)

Why does the TS-writer fragment the recordings so much?
My HDDs used for tv-recording (only use for drives) are badly fragmented after few days of use.
All recordings seem to be fragmented, the ones watched simultanously as they are recorded are by far the worst.
My solution for the time is to move all recordings at night to a dedicated storage HDD.
But still...

It's a function of Windows actually allocates space - mediaportal will ask for some space and Windows looks for the best size for this file. Now depending on if Mediaportal asks for 2GB or 500MB then asks for more windows will allocate an area for the file windows may assume that mediaportal is over provisioning and allocate a smaller area or not. This is what leads to Windows fragmenting the file. There are articles on this if you search for ntfs file fragmentation

From what I've read the exact allocation algorithm is a closely guarded Microsoft secret.
