    Hi,

that is because of the SW card. Is the Line In / Out correct set and connected? Is it not muted?

Such a great machine and only a SW encoding card? What a pitty, you should consider to buy a HW encoding card (PVR 500). :)

Try running the supplied application for your tv card and ensure that works aok. Then go back to MediaPortal.

If that does not work try deleting you Capturecard.xml file (MP root) and card_cardx.xml files in the database directory.
Re-add the card ensuring the soundcard setup is correct.

    Hi Selin

I know it sounds basic BUT, have you tried the creative codec as your preferred choice of sound decoder. also is their a link cable between your soundcard and tv card ? or is it direct through motherboard. PS with the rig you have get another better card, well worth it, FUTUREPROOF.

    Hi,

I have now tested to format and install my computer from the start. And i still dont have tv sound in MP.

So you say someting aboute Creative codec? In setup for MP i look under TV settings and find this options in Audio codec, "DScaler Audio Decoder", "InterVideo Audio Decoder", "CyberLink MPEG Muxer", InterVideo Multiplexer" and "MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM Audio Decoder". Dont find anything aboute Creative? Is it missing? Can i get it someware?

I do not have a cabel from my soundcard to my tv card. I think it is direct through motherboard.

I know i have a bad card but i came with the computer so i will try to make this work.

I dont get it... why can i get sound in everything but not tv sound when using MP. When i use InterVideos Home Chinema its working. This suxxx!!
