could you upload your imdb.xml file

in the following folder, upload SetupTv.log
    C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log

    Here's the imdb.xml...

But the SetupTV.log is in the "Old Logs" folder...whereas the Log folder has the files shown in the image attached...

hmm, I'm a bit confused also, could you do the following

exit the TV Server Config program, then start it again, make sure we start from known point
go to Channels and make a screen picture of what your channels look like
go to WebEPG > TV Mapping, use Group and select All Channels
then press import and make a new screen picture of what these channels look like

when this is done, make a zip file of all the logs, and upload

    Sorry for the delay...was sleeping.

Channels, WebEPG Import, and Zip file of the Log folder are attached.

Leaving for work in a little bit, may not be able to respond until later tonight.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Found time to test this on my local MP1 setup. Your grabber works fine when I test, so now we need to understand what is causing problems. For the tests I did the following

    1. Saved your imdb_com.xml, renamed to www_imdb_com_53158.xml so I can tell what I'm using. Copied to grabbers/US folder C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\WebEPG\grabbers\US

    2. started TV Config, went to WebEPG > TV Mappings, did import for "Favorites" to load my channels, deleted all but 4 test channels, see WebEPGimport.PNG

    3. did AutoMap since this is setup for my zipcode, did a manual Clear Mapping for 2 channels I will use to test your 53158.xml file see WebEPGautomap.PNG. If you press AutoMap it should work for your setup at this point.

    4. since your channels don't map to my SanFranBay TV channels, used manual map so KRON-HD = 5, KTVU-HD = 6 to test your grabber file, see WebEPG_53158.PNG this is special testing only step so I can test drive 53158.xml

    5. went to WebEPG > General, pressed Save (very important to press Save) set GrabDays=2 just for test, then GrabNow, waited till done, checked MP1 EPG and see your channels KTVU=Fox6, KRON=NBC5, and my channels KGO=ABC7, KPIX=KPIX5 in EPG

So the key question is does step #3 have problems when you try? Follow the steps #1 to #3 I showed, skip #4 I did that to use both grabbers for testing. In step #5 make sure you pressed Save and does this work? In #3, get screen shot of what happens after you do AutoMap.

If step #3 still does not AutoMap, make a zip of all log files and upload so I can take a look.

OK, thanks...I'll try to follow these steps again later tonight if not tomorrow & get back to you ASAP. I really like the overall program...just wish EPG wasn't such a pain in the butt.

I'm a complete novice at this and encountered the same issue initially. This is probably completely off course - if so I apologise.

Is your tv service running? I think that if I opened media portal before opening the tv server configuration program then I had the same 'no EPG' issue.
If I opened the tv server configuration program first, then closed it, then opened mediaportal the EPG appeared.

Perhaps there's something else that occurred to cause this for me but I know that right now the tv server will not start when my computer does, but the tv server will start when I open the tv server configuration program.

Like I said - apologies if this is no use, and good luck.

Ok...so...it didn't work again. I got frustrated...and cleared out ALL of the channels manually like you did but by using the REMOVE button, not the clear mapping. Went to Auto Map...and the channels came back...THIS TIME, with guide info! I did the grab now, went in to Media Portal...and they are there!!! WOOHOO!!!

Thank you very much. I think what may have caused some of the issue was I needed to clear out the mapping.

Now...to get the rest of my channels! LOL

Thank you to the posters very much for all the help! Now...to play with it further, make sure it works, then wipe it all & upgrade to Windows 10! Ugh...going to be a long weekend IF I am able to get to it all.

Thanks![DOUBLEPOST=1438997662][/DOUBLEPOST]Just had a follow up question before I get really involved this weekend...

Off the top of your head, would you say MP2 will be better & easier to use than MP1? Will the steps of getting the EPG loaded be the same?

And lastly...in either MP1 or MP2...will the EPG update automatically, or will I have to manually do it every so often?

    Thanks!

one comment on your channels, if you want you can go to channels, edit the channel names the same way you change file names in windows. You could user your local stations, wxyz, abc, cbs, etc so you have something other than just channel number. But if you change those names it also ripples into how you are doing you WebEPG setup. So keep in mind everything MUST match. This is all computer stuff so details matter, WxYz is not the same as wXyZ
