I'm confused - correct way to handle a xmltv.xml file in 4C? (1 Viewer)

There are so many threads out of date and user guides that I can't for the life of me work out how to do this. I have a xmltv.xml file from epgstreams.net and I can't work out how to load it in this release. I managed in 1.0.2 to get this working but I can't in 4c

Can someone please point me to s step by step instruction how to do it in this version?

Ok, I'll give it a try.

I guess by 4c you mean RC4 of MP? If so, have you installed the final release yet?

1) In the TV Server configuration applet, you have to check the XmlTv plugin.
2) make sure the path information is correct so the path that is specified should hold the xmltv.dtd as well your xmltv.xml file. I guess you have to rename xmltv.xml to tvguide.xml
3) do you have your tv channels configured, are they mapped to the card?
4) in the XmlTv plugin, under the Mappings tab, make sure your tuning channels are mapped to a guide channel and save.
5) under the general tab, press the Import button to force and you should have a guide.
