When I press a digit on my remote control it is only interpreted as a digit by MP if Caps Lock is on, or someone is holding down the Shift on the keyboard.
That would only be an issue with AZERTY or similar keyboards.

I am confused. Are we talking about a remote or a keyboard? A remote goes through IMON, a keyboard through Windows and of course needs the Shift key to be active if you want a number.[DOUBLEPOST=1389011343][/DOUBLEPOST]A "remote" keyboard is not a remote in terms of IMON but simply a USB device, which is controlled by Windows and nothing else than a standard keyboard.

Well that's precisely the bug here.
iMON is just simulating keyboard input when it receives IR signals from the RC and MP is not interpreting those simulated keyboard input as expected when you have an AZERTY keyboard setup.

    Stephane,

For the sake of avoiding misunderstandings: can you confirm that you are using a classic remote, e.g. a Harmony One? If that's the case then the profile as stored in the .imo file is messed up.

If not then I don't understand what you mean by pressing Shift. A remote with shift key???

Or are you maybe talking about the Microsoft MCE keyboard? In this case you are probably dealing with a driver issue that cannot be solved unless Soundgraph publishes a correct version. I guess that the combination of a real MCE keyboard set to French and IMON is extremely rare.

I'm using an IR remote which is actually a Philips Prestigo SRU 6008.
I'm also using an AZERTY keyboard.

When pressing digits on the remote they are not interpreted as digits by MP unless the AZERTY keyboard Caps Lock in on or you are holding the Shift key of that same keyboard. I'm guessing this is happening because iMON is simply simulating keyboard input upon receiving IR signals which MP is not interpreting as expected due to the specific regional keyboard settings I'm using.[DOUBLEPOST=1389013923][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm using a regular USB keyboard with an AZERTY layout. Not an MCE keyboard whatever that is :)

Wow... The Soundgraph driver is crappy, but that's not really a new finding.

You could confirm your working hypothesis if numbers on the remote work correctly with the PC keyboard layout set to English. Could there be a localization mismatch on your PC?

Well the simple fact that it works with Caps Lock confirms it for me :)
No time to dive into that just now. I'm happy with the Caps Lock workaround ATM.

Just checked for you :). Activating CapsLock on my HTPC remote keyboard yields the behavior that you described: pressing "1" on the remote is interpreted as "Shift-1" and I am getting the curves on the TV screen.

Now I don't think that Soundgraph is to be blamed. From the programme logics Windows is indeed receiving a keystroke and won't make a difference if it is coming from device #1 or #2. Hence putting Windows into CapsLock mode will cut off the number keys.

P.S.: Why are you guys having such strange keyboard layouts :D Every time I am in France and have to work with a French keyboard I am kind of lost.
