ok i am fighting with this for some time already and im getting sick of this .
what is te problem ?

i watch series and most of them imports good without problems ..
but then there are series that just wont import good and i have to them manualy every time..
once upon a time 2011 it always imports is as the old once upon a time series .
also with dr who 2005 it imports the old series .
how can i fix that ?

my dir is called Once Upon a Time season 1 (2011)
and the files are called Once Upon a Time S01E10 HDTV XviD-LOL.avi , Once Upon a Time S01E11 HDTV XviD-LOL.avi etc
its like this with all series and like i said most import fine . so why doesnt these 2 import right .
even while i did some episodes manyaly it gets the old show instead of the new one . have to manualy do em every time and im getting kind anoyed bout this ..

does anyone have the same problem and maybe a solution ?

MP-TVSeries looks up the series via TheTVdB API system.

    Example: http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=Once+Upon+A+Time

As you can see there are ton of shows with that name, so you have to be specific in your naming scheme.

    You have to use: http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=Once+Upon+A+Time+2011

So now as to go about doing that without being able to change the filename before/during import is where the "String Replacement" system comes into play.

You add an entry for "Once Upon A Time" ==> "Once Upon A Time (2011)" (with checkbox 'before' enabled) and problem solved.

What is weird though is that MP-TVSeries normally remembers your manual selection to overrule a show selection and will apply that to the next import. But I guess it doesn't work towards this specific show or your situation.

Rochess, It only remembers when using the GUI import. There is an outstanding issue where this is not the case when using the ImportWizard in configuration.
