I mean the title, not the artist of the current track!
On MusicBrainz each song is listed and associated with an artist and album. "Recording" means a single song of an album ("release"):

It's just one additional query on the artist MBID search:

http://musicbrainz.org/ws/2/recording/?query=(artistname:"Marina" OR alias:"Marina And The Diamonds") AND recording:"Bubblegum Bitch"

There are many artists with the same name but it's very unlikely that there are two artists with the same name and a track with the same song name.

Hence, a two-step artist search would be more precise, but there's no risk for less search results than today. If the song (title) - artist name MBID search didn't return results, the pure artist search will return the same search results as today.

This makes no sense if the tags are spelled correctly, the result is 99% correct. And I wait when they add the ID from the track to the database. Then, if you correctly register the ID in the track, there will always be an unambiguous result, regardless of the media center (Mediaportal, Kodi, etc).
