Sorry for the late reply Jelmo, must have missed your post somehow.
We don't have binaries for the 1.3Beta release, since the Team is working on a better solution, so i've closed this thread for now.
We're currently investigating thumbnail creation by TV Server. Since not everybody installs the TV Server part, we're looking for a global solution for both single & multi seat users. As this involves some more work, we decided to focus on the new implementation, and we'll try to supply an installer (or binaries) as soon as we think we have a 'stable' solution that can be tested by the community.
So to keep it short and simple: Team is working hard on this, we've discussed multiple options and are working on the best solution for everybody. New Area 51 thread will be opened once it's stable enough to test by community.
