Do you mean like widebanner view?

Is that setting under the general tab? I have that ticked but I just get the black background. Occasionally what looks like a test card breifly flashes up and goes, but we're talking split seconds.

Yeah, I don't remember where the setting is exatly... but it's something like: "Show FanArt in Series View". The fanart should replace the black background and change according to which series is highlighted.

I have that enabled and still just get a black screen in that section.

I know the question has been asked but I cannot find an answer. Is there a way to get my recordings to show up with skin 2.5 and MediaPortal 1.0. I would prefer not updating to the latest SVN.

As far as I know. I'm running SVN from the 23rd of Jan plus what I think is the latest MPTVseries.

So you're running latest MP and MP-TVSeries, made the appropriate settings to show fanart and it still doesn't work... odd. Can't help you then, try the MP-TVSeries forum section. If I recall correctly, there was a topic discussing FanArt not showing in the background.

This may be a stupid suggestion (assuming you know this already), but I also had only black banners in my TV Series plugin and it took me a while to realize that the plugin does not download fanart automatically. You have to explicitly hit F9 while in the GUI and choose which fanart you want to display.

Ah, now that works! But do I have to do that manually for every tv show? I have about 30 series so it will take ages!

No idea if there's any way to automate this, maybe in the config program's download tab somewhere..
I have only 8 series so it wasn't so bad. If you do go through it manually though, make sure you back up your TVSeries.db3 database somewhere safe, just in case...
