installation Problem (1 Viewer)

Hi all I have a strange problem that I never expirenced before.
I have a just installed windows 2003 server (eng).
I installed the SQL Express sp2 and management tools.

After that I installed the TV server configured the sql server.

When I started the Tv server config it creates the database. Why didnt I get the SQL Config Window????
Everything looks fine in the config view I can scan for channels and all.

When I try to connect to the server from my MP client it says I'm connected to the tv server but not the database.

If I try to make a odbc connection to the TVServer it works like a charm.

When I look at the Gentle.config file I can se my data provider. Loks like this.

<DefaultProvider name="SQLServer" connectionString="Password=sa;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=sa;Initial Catalog=TvLibrary;Data Source=;" />

If I try to edit the Data Source it always get over written when I start the tv server.

Anyone got any ideas what I can try next to solv this.

I have installed the tv server on windows 2008 RC0, vista, xp and never got this problem befor.

Yes I did...made that mistake to many times before on outer applications

and I dont have any problems to connect to it from my MP Client via ODBC.

This is how I solved it.

When instaling sql express sp2 you get to install it as a seperate instance wish I did and I used sa,sa as user password for simplicity. This is not good sins the tv server install check for sa,sa and if thats ok you dont get the window where you can change sql settings.
That way the tv server tells the Client plugin the wrong databas connection string. I fixet this by changing the password on sa and automaticly did I get the windows where I could change password and connection for the tv server databas...Problem solved.
