Hi there in the forum.

Despite the post saying that most install errors have been solved, it does not seem like there is any solution to my problem.

When installing the TV Server, an error-box pops up just before completing. I have tried without mediaportal installed, with mediaportal and with mediaportal including newest SVN... Same error.

I have also tried the following TV server SVNs:
12919, 12938, 12957... Same problem.

Attatched is a screenshot of the error...

I previously installed it on an WinXP x64 installation without problems (same system).

Does anyone have a solution?

Best regards
Anders Beck

BTW: I really love the work you guys are doing here!!!

You are probably trying to install this on vista.
    Here's how to do it
    1. open notepad and fill in:
    msiexec /i "tvserver.msi"

    2. save this as install.bat in the correct folder (where tvserver.msi is also)

    3. in windows explorer (NOT internet explorer) right-click the install.bat and select "Run as Administrator"

Save the file then right-click it and select "Run as Administrator". That makes it work.

I have the same problems with vista 32 premium home. After this message i get another one blank message. Clicking OK and the installer rollback. Tested on 2 systems.

    Solution found

    Thank you frodo.

I saw your reply, when I wanted to post this link:

    Paulo Reichert's Blog

The only thing to add is that when this .bat file is executed, it will be executed from c:\windows\system32 so the batch file will look like:

    msiexec /i "[Full setup-file path]\Setup.msi"

Now I am really looking forward to getting the server running.

Keep up the good work guys!
