I can't believe that Intel took like 4 years to fix the 23/24 fps bug

The problem was, it did work, but you needed to disable UAC, imo not a problem for myself, but people who leave things at security default had problems.

The way I read the article, the bug was still present as 23.976 was played almost as 23.976, but not really, more like 23.972. Untill now. Says Intel ;)

On the other hand, neither ATi or Nvidia has me impressed with any of their drivers

I just couldn't get the HD4000 to work for me even with latest drivers. The problem with the HD4000 is inconsistent performance in video playback, some videos (depending on bitrate and fps) I just really struggle to get playback not stuttering or if not stuttering then not in sync.. Core AV codec gave smooth playback but out of sync with audio by 2 seconds on some high bitrate H.264. lol, MS codec works the best on those intensive videos, but slight stutter and LAV is terrible on those very high bit-rate movies (good else-wise) even with hardware acceleration..

I put in a cheap HD6450 and with LAV + hardware acceleration it was not perfect, MS codec is worse than with the HD4000 but with CoreAV codec it is absolutely perfect, not bad for AUD$35 card and $9 codec... I am sure I could tweak more but not stuffing around as even is fine even side-by-side 1080p 3d which is actually 3840x1080...

HD4000 may have worked if I spent more time it did seem more powerful than the 6450 but worse drivers/optimization with the codecs, however for $35 extra it just wasn't worth the headache, for me..

I have looked at your log files, but as usual they are unintelligible gobbledegook. (I am sure that the original developers who wrote that code know what the log entries mean, but those developers have long since retired from the MP team.) I regret to say that I think that you will have to use the "brute force" method to track down...

Sums up the problem I am having. Sorry if I wasn't clear. No, #selectedthumb is not preserved on going to the next window. That's exactly what I am trying to solve. An example is moving from mytvrecordedtv.xml to mytvRecordedInfo. The variable changes from a screen grab thumbnail from the video file to a channel logo during...

    MP1 MP2 MP2 - V2.4.1 Resume playback from DE
Ok, thanks for the User Management tip - I now get what I would expect. Now all I have to do is to figure out how to make Auto Login do what it says on the tin. The only way to make it work is to manually log in each time. Any hints as to what I'm missing with the login system?
