If black bars are cut off like it does on the other DVD Nemo, then on left en right some picture is lost to make it fullscreen. I don't mind that. Prefer to have it fullscreen.

ok, for my understanding, both DVD's NEMO and CARS have black bars. For the DVD NEMO the view mode "ZOOM" worked different as the DVD CARS with the same view mode?

ok, but the calculation of this view mode comes from MP, I'll have a look at the source code maybe I'll find the answer there.

oke Martin, this looks like a strange one. Zooming 21:9 (picture) DVD's to 16:9 fullscreen:

    0.9.5.1 version:

    16:9 selected: normal
21:9 selected: zoom (i believe 21:9 should be the important parameter for this)

This fails to zoom, DVD picture stays 21:9 on 16:9 tv (black bars)

    0.9.0 version:

    16:9 selected: normal
    21:9 selected: zoom

Same results BUT....if i set 16:9 parameter to "zoom" the DVD's are perfectly stretched to 16:9 fullscreen.

Hope this makes sense to you. I can provide logs.
Could it be that black bar scanning (and so zoom) is disabled when playing aspect ratio 16:9 DVD's? (PlaneScene: video WxH : 720x576 and PlaneScene: video AR : 16:9)

right, if 16:9 video is detected ifc set the view mode set for 16:9 and don't search for black bars.

I think in the Version 0.9.0 IFC used the picture aspect ratio, but this was wrong, because IFC searched 16:9 videos for black bars.

But with log I'll tell you more.

Hi Martin, i attach a logfile. 2 videos played.

Video of "Nim's Island" 21:9 perfectly zoomed to 16:9 fullscreen
Cars DVD with 21:9 picture in 16:9 video (PlaneScene: video WxH : 720x576 and PlaneScene: video AR : 16:9). Cars is not zoomed because "normal" is selected for 16:9 video.

Could it be possible to scan ones or althrough the video for black bars? And then use the for 21:9 selected value?

The first video "Nim's Island" has no black bars its a "pure" 21:9 movie, the second CARS is as supplied before a 16:9 Movie with 21:9 content (black bars).

    This is the different.

When you turn off IFC and play CARS once with a view mode "Zoom" and once with "Stretched" do you notice a difference?

No only little difference...few milimeters. So it just has to be cut out like you did on the 4:3 in 16:9 image. This is possible right? This is the case on every DVD with cinema wide 21:9 picture.

forget all what I wrote, I found the bug.

    Just tested version 0.9.5.1

And I am glad to inform you,...it is fixed! :) (Settings "TV crop" are now saved in MP)
The only remaining strange thing is the missing text on the tabs. But thats only cosmetic, so never mind.

Keep up the good work, and :D again.
