Re: *New* Intelligent Frame Correction - PlugIn

This seems to be exactly what I need, however, unfortunately, it won't install.

I am using Mediaportal version 1.0.2 in Vista 64-bit. When I run the installer from the MPConfig, plugins installer, it gives me an error about some dlls and the plugin is not visable in the list of installed plugins.

Thanks. I would love to get this working.

download the latest version -> save it on your hdd -> right mouse button click on it -> open with... -> MPInstaller.exe.
    That should work!

Re: *New* Intelligent Frame Correction - PlugIn

The only thing I can't seem to get the plugin to do is to fully crop 4:3 letterbox embedded in 16:9 (black bars all around)

A lot of the channels I get are broadcast this way, SD over digital HD transmission which was cropped for wide screen. (so annoying)
This results in a black bar on both sides and top and bottom.

after reading through this monster thread, it seems that once the plugin decides the video is 4:3 embedded in 16:9, it crops the L/R black bars and thinks it is done, and never even checks for top/bottom bars.

I would like all 4:3 content cropped and use NLStretch (working flawless already)
But for 4:3 letterbox (Embedded in a 16:9 file) I would like to crop and zoom.

Could we expect a version that will allow for scanning for 4:3 letterbox embedded in 16:9?

You could go about this (in at least) 2 ways:

1.) Scan for top bars and crop them as well, if present.
    or
2.) Use the plugins logic to determine if the embedded 4:3 content is letterbox, if it is, use a separate '4:3 letterbox in 16:9' zoom mode.

Thanks again for this wonderful plugin, an absolute MUST HAVE.

I still have the problem that when Intelligent Frame Correction is enabled, I can't listen to a folder of songs or a playlist. When a song ends and a new one from the folder or playlist is supposed to start, MediaPortal crashes/closes and the desktop becomes visible. The problem also occurs of Intelligent Frame Correction is only enabled in TV - and it happens with both folders and playlists. If this problem can't be fixed or the cause can't be found, I personally cannot use Intelligent Frame Correction, since it prevents me from using the whole music part of MP.

Attached are clean logs (I deleted all logs, started MP, made the error occur and saved the logs).

Since version 0.9.5.2 the behavior is the auto start when Manual Activation is ticked. You can use an older version, sry for that, i'll think about it in the next version for a solution.

You use the version 0.9.2.1 try the latest one, and tell me if the error is gone. :D
btw. I asked you for feedback before and you didn't answered me, maybe it's not fixed in the latest version.
