    I do have this D-Link DCS-932L IP Camera and I would like to integrate it as a TV Channel in MediaPortal.
    With Vlc-MediaPlayer I get the Camera-Stream running with: http://user:password@IPAdressOfCamera:Port/video/mjpg.cgi

    So my Idea was to create a m3u-Playlist like:
    #EXTM3U
    ## MyCamera 4 Mediaportal
    #EXTINF:1,Camera LIVE
    http://user:password@IPAdressOfCamera:Port/video/mjpg.cgi

    and to make a channel scan in TV Configuration but this doesn't work.
    Can anyone help me to get my IP-Camera Running as a TV Channel.
    I know that there is an iSpy-Plugin for Mediaportal - but it seems that it doesn't work anymore - And I'd really prefer to integrate it as a TV Channel.

    Thanks for any ides and help!

    Hello mm,
    Thanks for your quick reply :)
    I hope I understand - but here is what I did: (and therefore no logs)
    I did copy the m3u-File to the TuningParameters\dvbip folder --> then startet the TV-Server Configuration and did a channel scan selecting the m3u file.
    All I get there after a while is "http://user:password@IPAdressOfCamera:Port/video/mjpg.cgi - No Signal"
    In Vlc-MediaPlayer I can see that the codec is a "Motion JPEG Video - MJPEG."

    In general:
    Thanks in advance!

    but here is what I did...
    Your process produces log entries, so I don't understand the reason why you think you can't provide them. ;)

    MJPEG could be a problem, but still - if the stream is wrapped with an MPEG 2 transport stream container, then you may get lucky (depending on the behaviour of TsReader and codecs).

    is my try in general the right one if I want to implement the IP-Camera into MP as a TV Channel?
    Yes.

    Thanks (y)
    In the MPIPTVSource log I see this over and over again when the filter is trying to get data from the camera:
    01-11-2014 22:43:24.427 [1044] [{F4EBD25B-38C8-4463-99DF-63CF8ED4792D}] [Info] CMPIPTV_HTTP: ReceiveData(): HTTP return code: 401
    01-11-2014 22:43:24.428 [1044] [{F4EBD25B-38C8-4463-99DF-63CF8ED4792D}] [Error] CMPIPTV_HTTP: ReceiveData(): server returned error: 401

    Code 401 is "Unauthorized", so it seems your username/password is incorrect or the camera is not accepting it.

    The point is that MJPEG is probably not supported by TsReader etc., regardless of whether audio exists or not.

    It is possible that the IPTV filter doesn't send the password or connect in the right way. If the password is correct then maybe only disabling authentication (I know - probably not desirable, and maybe even not possible) in the camera settings would work.
