It's been a while since I dropped into this thread. Any news regarding ForTheRecord support? I am really looking forward to trying out the new version, if/when ForTheRecord gets supported.

Hi.
thanks for this great plugin!
There is only one little bug in the Playlist.
It only shows 25 Playlists - is it possible to increase that?

Thanks

No update regarding ForTheRecord - it's still on my radar though.

It's not restricted to the number of playlists - but it is restricted to the length of message transferred between the iPiMP client plugin and iPiMP web app - I'll look to increase it. Thanks for the report.

:D you could alway trade yours for a shiny new iphone ;)

Never!

But im thinking about getting me an ipod touch!

Anotherthing:

controlling a mediaportal client is very fast,(near realtime) at least if all the progs are on the same pc, thats realy nice...

Thanks for the feedback!

Abort transcoding job

How can an active transcoding job be interrupted or aborted without killing the ffmpeg process? What is the meaning of that two files: transcode_working.txt and transcodeme.txt?

How can an active transcoding job be interrupted or aborted without killing the ffmpeg process? What is the meaning of that two files: transcode_working.txt and transcodeme.txt?

If you choose to use transcode on a daily schedule then when a recording is finished the recorded filename is written to transcodeme.txt.

At your scheduled time this file is renamed to transcode_working.txt and the files held in it are transcoded one after the other. Once all files have been transcoded the transcode_working.txt is deleted.

Whilst files are being transcoded, if a recording is finished it is written to a new transcodeme.txt ready for the next schedule.

So if you want to interrupt the transcode job you could delete the transcode_working.txt, ffmpeg would finish its current transcode and there would be nothing left for it to do.

If you transcode on demand or set a job going through the web app or transcode client the only way to stop it is to kill the ffmpeg process.

    Great, was just checking.
Just got myself an iPhone and this plugin looks excellent, I'm another one wanting the For the Record support :)

    Cheers,
