At present I don't have an iPhone, I was under the impression it would also work in a browser?

What led you to believe that? The title of it? I think it might work in Safari but when I tried it firefox it didn't work.

:D Well at least that clears that up - I shall now try to reinsert the hair I have been pulling out.

Have a look at Big_Kev's interface linked in the above post - I use that for PC access.

And I look forward to you returning when you get your iPhone ;)

Hi cheezey,

I had installed Version 3.0.1 (?) on MP1.0 and did some fixes by hand.
Everything worked fine after you gave me some support.
On the same machine I tried to install V.3.2.0 now.
The installer asked to uninstall the old version first.
After that it starts installing the new version.
When the installer tries to start the apache I get the following error:
iPIMP apache installation failed - Reason: It is already installed!
After that:
iPIMP apache installation failed - Reason:There is an error in httpd.conf
After that the installation finishes but the webservice ist not started.
Reboot and starting the service by hand does not help either. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
Stephan

Can you uninstall iPiMP, ensure the iPiMPweb service has been uninstalled, C:\Program Files\iPiMP has been deleted and then retry the 3.2.0 install.

iPiMP not showing up in plugins

Hi. Just ran across this app and it looks great! The webserver appeared to install without issue, and I'm able to connected to it with the iphone, however I'm having trouble connecting to the MP client. I'm guessing that it's because I didn't configure the plugin in MP Config. It's not that I didn't try :) It's just not there in the plugins branch of MP config.

Some background. I use Mediaportal on a single HTPC with no TV server and no capture cards. It's just playing videos from "My Videos". I have a couple of questions:

1) should I be able to use iPiMP to control the playback of My Videos? (select, play, stop, pause, ff, etc).
2) assuming #1 is true, any idea why the plugin doesn't appear in MP Config on the MP PC?

Thanks for any help!

Which option did you select when installing iPiMP? You should have used the MediaPortal remote control web installation option.

Does C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\process\iPiMPClient.dll exist?
Does C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\inputDeviceMappings\Default\iPiMP.xml exist?

Version 3.2.0 includes a couple of remote control pages which mimic an MCE remote - sou you can up/down/left/right etc.

Version 3.3.0 will include MyVideos pages which will allow you you view a movie list and select which one to play.

    Hi Cheesey,

Just curious, can you give us a hint on release day for 3.3.0?

So that I can have something to look forward to here in the dark, cold northern...
