Hi cheezey, I updated to your new version and cannot add a client. The IP ist right and the port
Everything seems to work except when I try to add a MP client from the iPhone I get an error saying "Lounge could not be added". I've tried varying amounts of data on the add client page; full details (IP, MAC, etc), down to just matching the client name to the MP PC name and clicking Add, I always get the same result.
  • MP remote control plugin - Added messaging - Crashes MediaPortal client...
Would be nice to get the remote control feature working. Logs indicate no errors whatsoever.
I suspect the reason for these is the bug detailed at the end of this post.

I've got most of the things working except during the setup I received an error about couldn't find gentle.conf and that iPiMP wouldn't work without it. The install completed with success though.

I checked the path given in your earlier post (%appdata%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\Gentle.Config) and there was no Team Media Portal folder, I finally found the folder in the All Users appdata folder instead. I copied the gentle.conf to the iPiMP\apache\conf install folder. I then enabled all the plugins as per the install instructions.

jedney, I have exactly the same issue - got the gentle.conf error and can't add a MP client. Everything else seems to be pretty much working.
Can you both confirm what version of TV server you are running? SVN?

Actually - I have found a bug in the installer. To workaround unzip this iPiMPClients.db into C:\Program Files\iPiMP\aspx\App_Data\ overwriting the existing copy - you'll have to re-add any existing clients. I had to add a MACAddress field to the DB for the WOL functions and forgot to update the installer with this - I shall fix this in a bug fix release.

I have the actual SVN installed. iPiMPConfigurePlugin.exe doesn't work and produces an error.

TV Server SVN has updated the version the Gentle framework and this is causing these issues.

I have submitted version 3.3.1 which should fix the adding/editing MP clients. This works on TV server 1.0 final. You'll have to wait for a short while until it is authorised.

For those on SVN you can try this install.

Thanks for the quick response, cheezey! I replaced the db-file as instructed and hey presto - I could add the MP client no problem! I'm running TV server 1.0 final. Thanks again for the good work you're doing here :)

Hi, I am loving this app, all the features are brilliant!! One question though, how do you get the logo's to show in the tv guide? I can only see boxed question marks??

Thanks

The installer asks you for the path to the TV logos, it adds that path as an alias in your iPiMP.conf in C:\Program Files\iPiMP\apache\conf - look in there at lines 44 & 54.

Mines looks like this...

Code:
line 44: Alias /TVLogos "C:/ProgramData/Team MediaPortal/MediaPortal/thumbs/tv/logos"

line 54: <Directory "C:/ProgramData/Team MediaPortal/MediaPortal/thumbs/tv/logos">

Just to confirm - you unzipped the new version of iPiMPClients.db into the App_Data folder and still get the error?

Is replaced the db with your file. Now I can add a client. But if I want to update nothing happens. The Message told me the client is updated but I cannot see the update. The second thing I cannot connect to client when I add it to MP

This may be a dumb question but have you enabled the client plugin on your MP client? The client/server communicate on port 55667 by default (although you can change this) - do you have a firewall installed that may be blocking communications.

Can you zip & attach the db?

The update client is a bug :( - I've fixed it and will include it in the next update, in the meantime you'll have to delete/re-add the client.

Thanks! The new version 3.3.1 now works with the actual svn!!!!!! No plugin errors...

That's good to know. Thanks.
