Hi,

sorry, i dont unterstand the problem with the gentle.config.

I use MP 1.0 for weeks. All works fine.

Today i install iphone interface. In the installation i become the error, that i can not found the gentle.config.
I ignore this message and make the installation finish.

I configure the rest. Start my Iphone and the login with admin works fine. I configure my MP Client and know i can use my iphone to remote my client. I can see the TV Guide and plan a recording.

BUT, i can not see my Videos and my music. I have but 3 songs to a Playlist, but when i want use my Iphone i see nothing ? Maybe why my gentle.config ist missing ?

But why work the rest ?

I have search in my TV Server Folder for the gentle.config File, but i can not found the file there ? In my installation there is NO gentle.config file. Only other gentle files.
I have search to this file and windows have foung the file only in the Ihone Interface folder ?

What must i do know that i can use everythink right ? I want controll my music from iphone.

Can me help somebody ?

Got to C:\Program Data
In The TeamMediaportal Folder you can find the gentle.config

Copy it to the Programm Folder

Look in "%programdata%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server" for gentle.config and copy it in your programm folder

Does iPiMP have access to local files stored on the iphone? if it does would it be possible to add a file transfer feature? ie upload photos from your iphone into media portal and the plugin on the tvserver would select the folder depending on the file type?

That's an interesting idea, I'll add it to the to look at list.

Just an update on 3.4.0 progress, this version will add MyMusic support.

You'll be able to browse music by genre, artist, year, album & playlist. You can select individual tracks, albums or playlists to play or shuffle. You can also play 100 random tracks for a genre, artist or all music

There's no album art, no playlist generation and no streaming of music to the iphone.

This has been quite a bit of work to get working without crashing the MediaPortal client so it's taken a bit longer. Hopefully this will be ready for release in a couple of weeks.

I'll leave you with some screenshots.

(The black iPiMP screenshot may not make it into the next version - the framework upgrade which enables changing the colours is still in a beta release, if it gets to a full release before 3.4.0 then I'll include it.)

(Also - ignore the Alphabet menu item on the screenshot below - that's work in progress to try to get away from loading a huge list - i.e. Browse By Artist -> Select starting letter -> list artists beginning with letter)
